For students aged 11 and up, we focus on building a strong artistic foundation while encouraging observation, creativity, and personal expression.
Through sketching and watercolour, students develop essential techniques while learning to slow down, observe more carefully, and translate what they see and feel into their artwork.
Classes follow a rotating format, with each month focusing on a different medium, such as sketching or watercolour. This gives students the opportunity to explore different approaches, strengthen their skills, and gradually develop their own artistic style.
Occasional clay modelling sessions introduce three-dimensional thinking and allow students to explore form, space, and structure through hands-on creation.
Beyond artistic techniques, our classes encourage focus, patience, observation, and thoughtful expression, helping art become a meaningful and enjoyable part of each student’s growth.
Materials Policy:
Ages 9-11: Most essential art materials are provided, including pencils, erasers, brushes, rinse cups, palettes, and easels.
A small number of personal items, such as sketchbooks, watercolour paper pads, and watercolour paints, are to be purchased by students.

Cancellation Policy
If notice of absence is provided at least 2 hours before the start of the class, the class fee will be credited to the student’s account.
No credit or refund will be issued for absences without at least 2 hours’ advance notice.
Participants who are unable to continue attending due to a serious illness or injury may receive a prorated credit for the remaining classes upon providing valid medical documentation.
If a class is cancelled by Nicole’s Art Studio, including due to instructor illness or other unforeseen circumstances, the class fee will be credited to the student’s account.
If a class is cancelled due to severe weather or unsafe travel conditions, the class fee will also be credited to the student’s account.
All account credits are non-refundable and may only be used toward future classes booked through our website.
